Over the past two years, New Hampshire’s timber markets have experienced several dramatic shifts. Specifically, the loss of markets for low-grade timber and sawmill waste.

Several key N.H. policymakers are seeing the impacts from the loss of these markets on businesses and timberland owners in their communities and are looking at options to help shore up our existing low-grade markets and create opportunities for the idle biomass to come back on-line or be re-purposed.

These policymakers are asking the NHTOA to quantify the impacts the loss of low-grade markets is having on N.H. forestry and logging companies, landowners, and overall forest health.  To assist the NHTOA with this effort, please take a minute to complete answer this survey and return it to Jasen Stock at This email address is being protected from spambots.
