The NHTOA and UNH Cooperative Extension are teaming up to offer landowner workshop series to help you be prudent woodlot owners. Each session starts at 5:30 with a light supper and mingling with presentations, discussions and questions/answers to follow with an end time of 7:30 PM. Come to one, two, or three sessions. Preregistration is required for us to plan for food and handouts. Cost is $30 for members, $45 for non-members per session. Conservation Easements: Your Land Your Legacy
November 4, 2020, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Conservation Center, 54 Portsmouth St., Concord, N.H. Instructor: Steve Roberge, Cheshire County Forester, UNH Extension. Estate planning and land protection can be an important part of a landowner’s woodland stewardship. This session will use the publication Protecting your Legacy: A New Hampshire landowner's guide to conservation-based estate planning. We will cover the relationship between your forest management plan and estate planning; involving family in estate planning; common conservation options, and the role and responsibility of land trusts.
