Are you a woman woodland owner or aspiring owner? Do you have a farm tractor or UTV (utility terrain vehicle) that you are thinking about using in the woods?  While tractors and UTVs have their limitations, when equipped properly they can play an important role in working in your woodlot.  Join us for an "in action" introductory workshop to find out about ways you can safely and productively use a farm tractor as a tool in forest management (for example, harvesting firewood). This workshop will focus on tractor applications, matching tractor size with specific tasks, safety features and practices, attachments, and basic winching and log skidding techniques. We will also discuss tips and techniques to recognize hazards and minimize risks when working with trees.

Meet other women woodland owners and share your experiences while learning from demonstrations and discussions led by a group of experienced instructors.
Space:  Limited to 20 participants, pre-registration required. Additional information on the location and where to park will be provided upon registration.

Special COVID-19 Safety Precautions: Program will be limited to 20 participants, with social-distancing and masks required. The entire program will be held outdoors. Participants will be required to complete a simple online health screening before leaving home. Additional information will be sent upon registration.
