These evening forums will provide a chance to highlight some current issues of interest to forest landowners. First part of the evening will be a legislative update from NHTOA's executive director, Jasen Stock. The second part of the evening will feature a panel discussion on recent New Hampshire legal cases that impact the liability of landowners. These talks are free for NHTOA members.

Second Annual Young Logger / Forester Mud Season cookout.
Monday March 19, 2012 At the home of Brooks and Olivia Weathers 2386 Rt 4A Springfield NH. From 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Come catch up with friends and share stories of working in the woods this winter. There will be a cookout, and if the weather cooperates, hopefully some sap to boil. There will be an update on the new stream crossing notification form and a NHTOA legislative update.

NHTOA's 101st Annual Meeting
May 19, 2012, The Sugar River Ballroom on the third floor of The Common Man Restaurant, 21 Water St., Claremont, N.H.
Agenda: registration and continental breakfast starts at 7 a.m.; tours start at 8 a.m. Annual Business Meeting, noon; lunch, 12:30 p.m.; awards, 1:30 p.m.; auction and raffle, 2 p.m. Morning activities will include a tour of a timber harvest at the city of Claremont's Whitewater Reservoir in Cornish, New Hampshire, and of Preferred Building System's (PBS) factory that builds energy-efficient modular homes. PBS is a subsidiary of LaValley Building Supply. Cost is $33 per person and includes continental breakfast and buffet lunch. Cash bar will be available. Sullivan County Chapter NHTOA, Annual Meeting
April 21, 2012, in the Ahern Building at the Sullivan County Farm complex in Unity, New Hampshire, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Potluck supper starts at 5 p.m. A short business meeting will be followed by a presentation at 6 p.m. by Steve Taylor. Taylor will discuss how land use changed during the "sheep boom" in the 1820s and 1830s. The program is underwritten by a grant from the New Hampshire Humanities Council.
