NHTOA FOREST AWARDS CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association is proud to recognize New Hampshire individuals and companies who put forth the extra effort to practice and promote good forestry and sustainable use of our forest resources.

New Hampshire has always been known for its abundant, productive forest resources. Increasingly, it is becoming known for the people involved with these resources as well. We are fortunate to have people who are dedicated to stewardship and conservation. In the past few years, several of our award recipients have gone on to earn regional and national attention for their accomplishments.

The New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association Awards committee is looking forward to recieving your nominations for individuals and businesses committed to high professional standards. Whether it is implementing sustainable forest management, logging, mill safety, product utilization, public education, advocacy, communication, or just a willingness to get involved on behalf of good forestry, it is critical that we publicly recognize these forestry leaders for their contributions and encourage others to follow their lead.

The awards program serves to remind the public, the media, and our elected officials that there is a great deal of good forestry happening out there and that our industry remains a viable, responsible and integral component of our state’s rural economy. By presenting these awards, New Hampshire’s forest community acknowledges the many values of forest work and applauds individual efforts to protect and enhance those values.

We are grateful to all our valued members for supporting this wonderful program and these awards. We are also thankful to the many organizations who have sponsored our program and supported us through advertising in the Timber Crier and special events throughout the year. (program sponsors are still needed. To show your support of good work throughout your industry, and to highlight your business to other decision makers, please call Sean Sullivan at (603) 224-9699 for program advertisements.
